The Treasury Laws Amendment (Making Multinationals Pay Their Fair Share – Integrity and Transparency) Bill 2023 has been passed by both Houses of Parliament and awaits assent. One (unannounced) amendment requires a review of the legislation no later than 1 February 2026. There was no change to the start date, ie the significant changes will continue to have a start date of 1 July 2023 (but the start date for the debt deduction creation rules is 1 July 2024).
